Emms has been strong so far in his rookie season, continuing to get better with each passing weekend. In the five races thus far this season, he has posted three top-10s, including a fifth place finish at Full Throttle Motor Speedway. Last Saturday at Sauble Speedway, he avoided trouble early in the feature en route to an eighth place finish.
As a result of the string of strong finishes, he currently sits seventh in points, 16 points outside of the top-five in points.
Emms has driven a variety of cars over the years and that includes laps at Peterborough. However, this weekend will mark his first-time behind the wheel of an OSCAAR modified on the 1/3 mile.
This week’s event offers a unique offer for the top-two finishers. The top-two finishers in Saturday’s Chase for the Colors event will start the Autumn Colors Classic in October from the front row. Certainly that’s the goal for Emms and the entire ADAMS Motorsports team.
Be sure to head out to Peterborough Speedway this weekend and take in the action as racing kicks off at 6pm EST, following a pre-race corn roast at 5pm EST.
