Gignac started off the weekend solidly, scoring a fourth-place finish in his lone qualifying heat to start 11th for the feature.
On the drop of the initial green flag, he was able to break into the top-10. However, that would not last long, fading back to 12th over the course of the first 10 laps. Running just outside of the top-10, he continued to battle hard through the middle portion of the event, using a late-race restart to cross the line with a 10th-place finish.
Gignac will be back in action at Delaware Speedway on June 15.
