Gignac started off the afternoon by finishing second in the first heat, followed by a fourth in the second qualifier.
Starting fourth in the feature, he would drop back to fifth in the early laps, ultimately dropping back to 10th by Lap 7. He would get back up to eighth on Lap 8, and rose there solidly through the feature, avoiding a spin ahead of him with five laps to go.
Restarting seventh, he would battle hard through the final laps en route to a sixth-place finish.
Gignac will be back in action at Delaware Speedway on Saturday, August 17, for the next round of Queenston Chevrolet Buick GMC OSCAAR Modified competition. Gignac currently sits fifth in the standings, 10 points behind second.
