ADAMS Motorsports Welcomes Back PBS Motors and Pumps

The pieces are coming together for the upcoming season as ADAMS Motorsports is proud to welcome back PBS Motors and Pumps as sponsors of Luke Gignac and the No. 99 Modified. The company has also made the decision to step up as the primary sponsor for 2017.

Located in Victoria Harbour at 28 Industrial Rd., they are a full service motor and balancing shop that specializes in dynamic and static balancing, air and water balancing, on site balancing, as well as electric and DC motor repair. The third season for ADAMS Motorsports in OSCAAR was met with success. With rookie driver Luke Gignac behind the wheel, the team was up front all year en route to finishing second in the standings. Gignac managed to score nine top-10 feature finishes to go with five heat victories. His efforts were also recognized at the series banquet with the Rookie of the Year Award, and Most Sportsmanlike Award.

As previously announced, the pair of sponsors will join Fox’s Bakery and Deli, OTD Building Supplies, Wolseley Canada, Dave Wiggins Custom Exhaust, Heritage Heating, Wix Filters, TSS Top Shops, Morton Metals, and Dwinnells Family Movers on the No. 99 Modified.

With the re-signing of these sponsors thus far, ADAMS Motorsports is highly focused on making the 2017 season as successful as possible, putting in the work during the off-season on the car that will count when the season kicks off in May at Full Throttle Motor Speedway.

Luke Gignac Ready for Sophomore Campaign

After an incredible rookie campaign, Luke Gignac will return to the OSCAAR Modified Series in 2017 with ADAMS Motorsports.

“After having a great rookie season, if we can keep our nose clean, we should be able to run near the front,” Gignac said. “That being said, it’s beginning to look like there will be a lot more cars thise year, which is a great thing in my mind as “more cars equal more excitement.

“As far as goals, the whole team’s goal is to keep racing fun.”

Last season, Gignac was up front all year en route to finishing second in the standings. Gignac managed to score nine top-10 feature finishes to go with five heat victories. His efforts were also recognized at the series banquet with the Rookie of the Year Award, and Most Sportsmanlike Award.

“Obviously last year was a great year for the team,” he said. “From Rookie of the Year and being a legitimate contender, you really couldn’t ask for more. We focus on having fun and doing the best that we can each week.”

Reflecting back on the year, the driver of the No. 99 OTD Building Supplies, Fox’s Bakery & Deli, Dave Wiggins Custom Exhaust, Heritage Heating, Wix Filters, TSS Top Shops, Morton Metals, and Dwinnells Family Movers Modifed says the biggest thing he learned was “keep it fun, keep it clean, and if you show respect, you usually earn respect.”

Flash forward to 2017, he admits he’s excited to get to all the tracks on the schedule, but Kawartha Speedway holds special anticipation due to never having the chance to race there before.

Gignac Picks Up Rookie & Sportsman of the Year Awards at OSCAAR Banquet

img_1671Following a successful season, ADAMS Motorsports celebrated their accomplishments at the OSCAAR Awards Banquet on Saturday, January 21.

Making the move up to the OSCAAR Modifieds, Luke Gignac came out strong all year round en route to finishing second in the standings. Gignac managed to score nine top-10 feature finishes to go with five heat victories.

On top of being called-up for his runner-up points finish, Gignac received two more awards on the night.

Throughout the whole year, Gignac showed respect to his fellow drivers on and off the track, and was rewarded by his peers for his efforts with the Sportsman of the Year Award.

Additionally, Gignac’s incredible rookie campaign earned him the Rookie of the Year Award.

With the final wrap now put on the 2016 season, focus has already began to shift to 2017 with preparation in high gear for the upcoming season. The team has already began to resign sponsors for the upcoming year, with details and announcements set to come in the coming days.

2nd in OSCAAR Modified Points – Luke Gignac

Making the move up to the OSCAAR Modifieds, Luke Gignac came out strong all year round en route to finishing second in the standings.

Kicking off his rookie campaign at Flamboro Speedway, Gignac finished third and fourth in his heats to give him a good starting spot for the feature. After leading a couple laps in the main event, Gignac faded back a bit, crossing the line in fifth. The momentum carried forward to Delaware Speedway as Gignac posted a strong seventh place finish.
